Our nursery is a place where children can play, learn and grow in a healthy, natural environment, where each child is valued as a unique individual, developing confidence, independence and wellbeing through magic, curiosity and discovery.
Childcare with a difference, as we take children around the world on a journey of exploration, wonder and excitement.
At Old School Day nursery we pride ourselves on being an important part of the community in North Ascot, helping to shape young minds and inspire confidence in our children.
From the child’s first day with us, they are included in creating a warm, happy and relaxed environment in which we can explore and grow together.
"Children freely access a wide range of toys and materials to extend their choice and help them extend their learning indoors and outside.
“Children benefit from the positive involvement in their play from staff that are well supported by the management team, including early years consultants and the management staff from the provider's other setting. This shows a strong commitment to improving the care and learning for every child.
Children have plenty of opportunity to use the appealing outdoor play space and equipment. They have very valuable opportunities to learn control of their bodies through the gym and ballet lessons given by specialist teachers. This positively contributes to their good health and well-being.
A well-established key person system is in place, which enables children to feel safe, secure and form appropriate attachments."
We have created opportunities for the children to capture their imagination by getting involved in good old-fashioned traditional play and adventures, whilst working within the EYFS curriculum. We place a great deal of emphasis on our environment and encourage the children to explore the outdoors.
Situated in North Ascot in an old Victorian school building, the children have access to many local green and wooded areas to explore nature as well as being an active part of the North Ascot community.
We are open from 7:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday throughout the year. We understand the importance of flexible childcare and work on an hourly basis allowing parents to choose the hours that suit their family.
